Okay, okay,.........it's hard to admit, with all of the gorgeous sock patterns I have waiting for me to try, but I have succumbed to repeating a pattern. You know.........it's that awesome JAYWALKER ! I love the ones I made before, ........... I enjoy the fit, and I find myself wearing them so very often ! So, with all of the ones I keep seeing other people start, I just had to make another pair. Part of what I love about my others is that the Magic Stripes yarn seems to be so easy-care.........machine wash and dry..........ah, man, ya gotta love THAT ! Well, with that in mind, I took a look at my sock yarn stash, and I only had two choices in Magic Stripes. I thought I'd probably just use the Denim Stripes, but on a whim, decided to give the LumberJack colorway a test run, just to see if it would look good in the chevron design. I'm a few inches along, and I have to say that I really like the looks of it so far ! I also made the change that I've been thinking of for awhile, of knitting a few rounds of garter-stitch at the top of the cuff, rather than ribbing. I decreased my caston number to 68, and knit, I think, 7 rounds of garter-stitch, and then began the chevron design after one knit round where I increased 4 stitches on each side of the sock, for my total stitch count of 76, on size 1 needles.
