Sept. 5.......update

Hey, girls and guys ! I got in ! I have so much trouble logging back into this blog ! Oh, well, that's not important.

Mike and I are just getttin' along great ! He has his beautiful new teeth and since the stroke made his smile a little crooked, he looks kinda flirty when he grins at ya ! So cute ! They hurt his bottom gum and he has trouble still with eating and talking..........apparently, I'm in for quite an experience when I get mine ! But he's persevering, as he always does (so proud of him), and so I'll have to give it my best efforts too !

I've still been knitting,............made myself a gorgeous prayer shawl in Bare Knit Picks worsted weight wool.........wish I could post a photo for you, but , I'll tell you, I really like it. I wear it to church to stave off the air conditioning usually, but we had a 60 degree day yesterday, so, I can wear it or my long Arctic shawl pretty regularly soon !

My friend called me just a little while ago this morning and said that a baby quilt that I had made (for her daughters first baby) won a ribbon at our local quilt show. Maybe I'll get to go and see the show sometime today or tomorrow.

I made myself a pair of mittens for this fall and winter, from an overdyed skein of that good old reliable Magic Stripes sock yarn. And I knitted a couple of fun fur shawls for my best friend, Wanda's birthday.

Right now, I'm trying to knit a long-sleeved shrug. I ran across one for 25 cents at our local bargain/salvadge store, yesterday. I love it ! It's green and lightweight, so I"m trying to make a heavier one for colder weather, but since the yarn is trying to make swirls of color, I may have to re-try with a more solid colored yarn. I'll just work out the pattern for now on this one !

Oh, I miss you guys so, and enjoy the mail that I get from you ! All of our babies are getting so big !

Anyway, I'm going to run over to the knitting forum right now, and see if I can check in there.

Almost forgot to tell you !!!!!!!!!!! I chopped my long hair off this morning !!!!!!!!!! Up to my chin ! Loving the feel of it ! ABOUT TIME, TOO !
