Incoming !

Well, girls and guys, I'm hard at work again. The design process is so slow for me these days...........yesterday, I was not sure that I could even do this anymore.

The next great niece is scheduled to arrive via C-section on September 15th, but due to recent complications, she may just make an earlier arrival. So I went to work to make something really sweet and special for her. Her mama, Mandy, has been so wonderful and generous to hubby and me, and we look forward to holding this baby while we're unable to be with our newest grandson, Seth.

Anyway, here's a pretty good peek at my work from today (if you click on the photo, you'll get to see the whole thing.......I don't know why it cut it off like that). I just seamed all of the blocks together, and I cut off the points on the diamond blocks. I misfigured a little bit, and that's just the way it's gonna be. Anybody wanta smack my hand, go ahead and do it now! I'm gonna need that hand to be back in good shape when it comes time to start the hand-quilting in a few days ! Tomorrow will be border day, and I'll probably bore myself to death with my standard "skinny-fat" double border, but I have a near solid pink that will really let my hand-quilting show, and I just love that part of the finished product !
